First off, if you are following along with the MMS P52 Series, here is a link to their first post:
http://www.mymemoriesblog.com/2012/01/welcome-to-mymemories-project-52-week-1.html
There are some good tips in there! Their plan is to give you a key word each week that you could use in your layout. If that helps inspire you, go for it. If that doesn't fit at all with what you are doing, just take the tips you CAN use (I know they'll have lots!) and leave the rest, no biggie!
There are no real requirements here in this group other than that we are trying to find a way to track our year and decided to do it together! I hope I haven't made it seem like you are restricted in any way by what you do with YOUR P52 book. My "rules" are explaining what a genuine, pure "P52" book would look like. If that isn't your taste, no worries. You're still in the club! Just keep your LO posts and comments related to P52 projects and you're good to go! : D
So, here's your... Saturday unAssignment #1 for Week One. (this is supposed to be fun, not school!)
**The BEST thing you can do it just get started. You may change your plan
or style of book later on, but at least you have something to work with
and have made sure you have your photos and journaling. The secret is
to keep up with journaling or else you will forget why on earth you
took those photos and why they mattered to you that day.**
If you are following the MMS plan, their word of the week is "COMMIT" (Continue On Making Memeries I Treasure). Their tutorial of the week is on using Word Art.
If you are trying to do one layout a week, do it!
If you are trying to do two layouts a week, do it!
If you are doing a layout a month, make sure you've taken your weekly photo!
If you are doing a layout per year, make sure you've taken your weekly photo!

Need inspiration? Check out this AMAZING P52 album by Tracyfish. I like it because the layouts all look similar...yet different. So the book has amazing flow. She is using PS of some kind so the templates wouldn't work for MMS but you could try using a particular Page Builder set that you like and revamp it a little each week to suit the photos.
Tracy says...
I used these templates by Cindy Schneider. I kept the same background kraft paper for each and then used different kits each week to compliment the photos or time of year (holiday, etc.). Everything I used was from Sweet Shoppe Designs. I obviously have other layouts mixed in with these, but all my P52 layouts are in my gallery here with full credit lists.
